Metalborgs and Blaus- hang on blaus aren't in Trinity. That means G-BT-10 Spoilers!
There's Great Nature to be had but I'm leaving the beasts to Kippran again so I'm sending you over to him.
That said there is one Great Nature card that stands out especially from this batch and I wish to give it a highlight myself, not so much for what it does for the clan, but more what it means for the game as a whole should more clans see similar cards.
Honorary Professor, Chat Sauvage
[AUTO]: [Choose 1 “Honorary Professor” Grade 3 card from your hand, discard it] When this card is placed on (VC) Rides on “Honorary Professor, Chatnoir”, you can pay the cost. If you pay it, choose 1 face-down “Omniscience Dragon, Cath Palug” or “Eternal Professor, Brahmananda” from your G Zone, [Stride] it to (VC). If you [Stride], during that turn, you cannot [Stride].
As I mentioned what interests me more than this card itself is the concept it brings. Chat Sauvage allows the user to stride once, regardless of the opponent's current grade and whether or not they rode in their previous turn, a condition which will hold off both of the Air Elements.
That Seven Seas Rush that's been running about recently is probably a factor behind this card's creation. So ask this.
If other clans see cards that enable this ability, albeit with differing conditions, what will that mean for Rush decks? Since I've played with and Against Rush I can already tell you the answer; assume that each of these types of cards can only be triggered turn 4 at the earliest, then I have some bad news, most rush decks also look to score the kill on turn 4, 5 at the very latest, so the game will be at the tipping point by then anyway.
With that said onwards to the metal.
*I am obligated to put this link at this point*
A Cosmic Hero first then move to 'borgs.
[AUTO] (VC/RC) GB1: When this Unit attacks a Vanguard, during that battle, this Unit gains Power+4000.
Burst - [CONT] (RC): During that turn, if your Vanguard has 15000 or more Power, this Unit gains Power+4000. If your Vanguard has 35000 or more Power, this Unit’s attack cannot be Intercepted.
It won't really be used in decks but it's neat that it stops intercepts, not so neat that it's only self serving. It is however a solo 18k beater so long as both it's power gain conditions are met. Might be nasty in Sneak Booster Draft.
[CONT] (RC): If you have a “Metalborg” Vanguard in [Legion], this Unit gains Power+2000.
[AUTO] (RC): [Counter Blast 1] When your “Metalborg” Vanguard attacks, you can pay the cost. If you pay it, choose 1 of your Vanguards, during that turn, it gains Power equal to this card’s Power. Put this Unit into the Soul.
It's a shame, Blackenburrow. You have potential, or would have done but you conflict with two very key cards your deck already uses and relies on in unison for pressure, Heavy Duke can't have the grunts eating his fuel and you go against the Commander's Orders by leaving the field as part of your skill. OK, granting an extra 9000 or 11k to the vanguard is a neat trick but I've already worked out a way to get a similar result without costing counter blast or clearing the board.Abatement Monster, Wilking, remember him? SB2 -10k to an opponent's unit whenever your vanguard attacks or it attacked. He's a 6k base but it's not like we were running the best Rearguards in this deck anyway.
[AUTO]: [Soul Blast 1] When this Unit is placed on (RC), you can pay the cost. If you pay it, look at the top 4 cards of your Deck, search for up to 1 card with the [Legion] ability, reveal it, add it to your hand, place the remaining cards in your Drop Zone.
This guy rides a conflict of interest for different reasons, but that depends on your grade 3's. This card requests you to focus on running units with the legion ability and it sets you up for legion to but you're probably running Drion personally I don't mind that but I know the bulk of players will be looking at this card, then looking at Barrengrader and thinking, Sin Buster or bust.
With Jetstrider it may be a Metalborg but you could use it in any legion deck, but Robos don't what him- and what is a Zeal? The point being, while he can grab any legion he's only going to be remaining among his kin and they aren't sure if they want him either. The life of a jank common is a lonely, depressing one.
Todays Mechs are a bit of wreck, hope the value on scrap metal is still high.
On a side note we also got the info for all 3 SP packs, there's only one card in that pack for DP that I care for being in full art. Super Cosmic Hero X-Tiger, the rest of that SP Pack of ours is filled with waste. Personal opinion and one that I'm sure will be controversial or highly disagreed with. Doesn't bother me if that's the case you're allowed to disagree with what I think, by that same token I may dispute against you.
Normally I'd end it here but I guess I already teased a Blau, so here's a Blau.
[AUTO] LB4: [Counter Blast 1] When your “Blau” Unit Rides this Unit, you can pay the cost. If you pay it, choose 1 of your Vanguards, during that turn, it gains Power+10000 and “[AUTO] (VC): When this Unit attacks a Vanguard, if you have 3 or more [Stand] Rear-guards, during that battle, your opponent cannot Call a Sentinel from their hand.”.
[AUTO] (VC): [Soul Blast 1 – “Blau” card] When your “Blau” Unit’s attack hits a Vanguard, you can pay the cost. if you do, Counter Charge 1.
This is an iffy card, it's good no denying that but its competition is Mond Blaukruger I will not say which is better, each of the two has their respective pros and cons.
Mond gives more attacks, Vollmond better directly support Galaxy Blaukruger, there also that on hit counter charge so enjoy your free Mars' early on? Same for Morgenrot. :)
That is all from me with this post. I know I've missed a couple of COTDs I'll get round to them, they somewhat surprised me as I wasn't expecting any this week. I'll do a round up for the COTDs of the week on Saturday, it's going to be easier for me to catch up on what I've missed at the weekend.
