[CONT](RC) Generation Break 1 (This ability is active if you have one or more face up G units in total on your (VC) or G zone): During your turn, if the number of grade 2 rear-guards you have is two or more, this unit gets [Power]+2000 and "[AUTO](RC): When this unit's attack hits a vanguard, Soul Charge (1), choose one card from your damage zone, and turn it face up."
Whether I like it or not (hint, I don't) Seeker, Thing Saver Dragon remains the best meta boss for Royal Paladin going into G. And that doesn't look set to change unless something involving a hammer hit it. So, for Royal Paladin's representative from G-BT01 choosing a unit that fully supported Thing Saver seems logical. Now how do you support a Counterblast and Soulblast hungry boss in a Counterblast Heavy deck?
The answer is relatively simple; unflip damage while filling the soul. It may even be possible to attack with Thing Saver 4 times in a single turn, with the correct field setup, and you thought triple Thing was bad. Sure it's a worst case (or best case) scenario (depending on which end of it you're on.) Regardless of the deck it's in though, this is unit is brilliant for damage management, since Royal Paladins are typically counterblast heavy.
On a similar note, why not cover the new bosses? Well that's because they get all the attention anyway, however looking at the support is also warranted as that's where this current format shines so far, in it's quality of Rearguard support.
